What do I think of the preseason so far? It's too long.
Who do I think is looking good? Atlanta, Carolina, Baltimore, Miami, Jacksonville, Chicago (with Griese), New York G-Men, and Denver seem to be the cream of the crop of the league.
I think Ronnie Brown is going to have a break out year now that he doesn't have to share the load with Ricky Williams and the passing game is a lot better. I think Peyton Manning will have a horrible season, as the last time the Colts didn't do well, it was because they could not run the ball without Edgerrin. I think Matt Jones will shine this year with Jacksonville. How can you deny all that height and speed? I think Laurence Maroney will have the best rookie year. He looks NFL ready and the NE line is great at blocking. I think Edgerrin James will take the Cardinals to the next level. I was a die hard fan of his here in Indy and I was extremely hurt to see him go. Watch out guys.. the Cards will contend in about 2 years. The SuperBowl this year is Dolphins/Ravens vs. Falcons/Panthers. These four teams seem to have all the ingredients.. especially since Atlanta finally added a run stuffer to the line up.
I can't wait for the season... it's gonna be great!
Go Blue!

Teams that look good in the preseason normally suck. The Carolina Panthers are the best team, The Ravens will be a force to reckon with, and the Redskins will suprise some people. By the way I'm a Steelers fan who is worried my boys will ride on what they did last year and may barely make the playoffs (But I hope not).

Carolinakitten - preseason dont mean squat! Steelers lost 3 of 4 last year and what did they do? Anybody who knows football doesnt pay any attention to preseason. Its televised tryouts.
Steelers are playing it safe and smart, Ben plays one series and they score. All the other teams are playing thier first team 2 or more quarters - the Bengals, almost the entire game.
Its easy to look good beating up on the other team's 3rd string.

Looking good....Heh Laugh, I want you to laugh...San Fran has been looking alright, definately better than last season to this point, but they'll fizzle, give it time :P. So Arizona...that defense? No way, Offensively they decimate all, defense is what's going to murder them this year. Those are my underdog picks for the NFC to perhaps show some life...perhaps. Green Bay is right ahead of them though, Favre is old, sure, but look, last year people were hurt, this year if they stay healthy, don't count them out so fast. NFC West...Seattle is a front runner...Rams for a suprise? Don't be suprised. NFC South...Tampa and Carolina neck and neck unto week 15-17...New Orleans wins more than 8 games? What? They can if they stay healthy, but playing the NFC East and AFC North, I wouldn't put my money on it, watch out. Atlanta....if Vick gets hurt, They could potentially get a wildcard...but I don't trust that guy to carry them to the playoffs, he passed a little better last season, but face it, he's got a LOOOONNNNGG way to go for solid QB status. NFC North...Bears Bears and more Bears, watch out for a Green Bay flare at some point in the season...but I dunno, still a risky team to pick. NFC East...just guess, there's no way to break that division down to give any one team an advantage over the other three, but I'm going to limb it and say Washington one game over NYG and Dallas. AFC West....Come on...Denver...KC might show a little of what they got if LJ does rush for over 2000...Chargers need another year still...Oakland? Oakland has a football team? AFC South...Indy? Don't blink on the Jaguars...who would have thought they get a 12-4 last season? Not me...Houston? HAHAHHAHA....Tennessee? Nah top 10 pick in the draft again for both teams. AFC North...Cincinati and Baltimore down the stretch. Pitts has lost both preseasons right now to two crappy football teams....preseason or not, that's pathetic. Baltimore has one of the better teams in the league when it comes down to simply winning games this season, maybe not scoring the most points...but just what the Bears did last year..but Cincinati is a scoring machine and will put Baltimore in their place. Browns? Drew Carey says "Cleveland Rocks"...Well I disagree, lets leave it at that. They have a solid team, but I don't trust the QB or the RB....or the WRs...we'll see. AFC East...Patriots dethroned? What? You heard it here first. Miami might come to life again this season. NE was 10-6 last season...Miami was 9-7...don't be suprised, Culpepper at 100% can make that team a winning team in the AFC...but barely. The defense is still cracked. Jets and Buffalo? I think not.
Super Bowl.....Denver is just about as close to a shoe-in now as people thought Indy was when they were 13-0...but things change. NFC team is going to be from the East or South....Most probably Carolina or Washington...but what was up with Seattle last season? Weird things happen, we'll see.
Denver vs Carolina in Miami is my pick......and on the side...Larry Johnson gets stopped at 1850 yards...my guess. T.O. gets in trouble when Dallas misses the playoffs...and Chad Johnson gets penalized at least twice for endzone celebrations :P How's that for predictions :P

Seahawks will definitely be a force to contend with this year. as they still have almost the same talent they had last year..as for the Superbowl curse well those are made to be broken.. the Steelers my friend though still a strong team will fall way short as they lost most of their talent and are in the market for a franchise running back. who else looks strong? well Dallas is looking good but hey this is preseason .who are the turkeys this year? well i hate to say it but KC , Green bay , Philly all look like they are going to fall Little short .as for rookies..well not to many come out and show to be great..it does depend on who is around them supporting them. a good running back without a good O line will fail to be great. TO though a good player I think will get injured this year and be sidelined collecting his pay. (he seems to like it that way) payed to be on the sidelines that is. well as a football fan i hope we have a great year and the refs pull the blinders off (not trying to take anything away from Steelers) congrats on last year..but the refs did blow it bad all around in the game ( for both sides) well see ya in the sports pages ;)
