People think taco bell is authentic mexican..its not.....why do people think this?

people who think it's authentic would say it something like this:
Wow-o, I think-o, Taco Bello is really authentico. See, they'd have the last word right at least.....but yeah, i know what u mean.....the best place 2 get AUTHENTIC mexican food is some hole in the wall that is named after something you have to look up in your spanish to english dictionary to figure out what it means and even then you don't quite get how it relates to the food. now THAT place? guaranteed to have fresh cilantro and perfectly balanced salsa, homemade tortillas (not store-tillas) etc. Well stink, i answered too long, now i'm hungry........

I don't know, but on in the state i'm in taco bell is our fast food mexican place, but in Nebraska, AMIGOS is the best by far.

I can't believe there is an american dude asking why all canadians pour maple syrup over everything they eat. He's probably the same guy that thinks T.B is mexican and Pizza Hut is real Italian.

maybe it's because of their slogans mentioning "south of the border hot!!!". people associate those types of words with the culture...
like a mexican pizza... wtf!!
it's totally not authentic though!

taco bell uses C grade meat which is
the same meat they use for dog food
I AM DEAD SERIOUS
it was on 20/20 a while ago
if you take away the spices the meat is horrible

They don't unless they are really stupid or owning class that they don't know what's going on. They just don't care. It's fast and convenient and easy to find even though it's greasy and gross.
