Hehe: they were thinking "This product does nothing and contains no active ingredients; how can we *suggest* that it cures headaches without actually *saying* that it cures headaches?"
And more importantly, they were thinking "How can we get people talking about this product?" - which is the goal of all advertising people.
It doesn't matter that everyone hates the advert. Everyone's talking about it, which means that the brand-building exercise has succeeded.

The ad does one thing, makes you remember the product. What is interesting about the AD is that it doesnt mention what the product does. It just states that you rub it on your forehead, and that it is available in retail stores nationwide. You hear the name of the product 6 times in a 15 second segment, twice every hour. And you dont know what it does! This gets you curious, and is all of a sudden a hit AD. Almost reminds me of Snakes on a Plane. Such a rediculous idea and title, yet it is compelling because of the insanity.

I agree. Well not burn in hell but stop playing that damn commercial I feel like getting the bat out of my closet and smashing the tv tube out everytime I see it.
