Have you ever noticed that when you are 24 people still think of you as young adult and don't expect much of you yet, like you are still 18 or something. But once you turn 25 it's like everything changes and you are expected to grow up and get a "real" job. So I think by that time most people expect you to have a decent job.

Between 25 to 30 years of age. After 30, I hope you're in school looking for a profession, medicine, etc...
By staying in focus as to what you want to do and be for the rest of your life should not be decided upon until you are at least 21. Do not make any lifetime decisions that are unattainable and do not meet with your desires until you are out of your teens. Be practical...

I'm in my late thirties and graduating from college in Dec.
Stable career. Shoo, I've had a couple of them and got laid off. You can't answer that. It depends on the person, economy and What type of president is in office. We've been BUSHwacked for the past couple of terms.

Expected by whom? If stable is you definition of successful, as soon as possible. If stable means you can adopt children, as soon as you want children. If stable means, you are done with education, never. Depends on what you mean.

Depends what you mean by career...lots of people get steady jobs but it's not necessarily the right career for them. Some people don't find their best career until later in life.
