To eliminate mishaps -- connect to that wireless router using a cable first to get it set up. If it is still factory-set, then it's address is 192.168.1.1. Connect a CAT5 cable to your computer and then to one of the 4 ports in the back...not the single port off to the left.

When prompted at the login screen, use "admin" as the username and "admin" as the password. Go to the Administration tab and set it to a different password..AND WRITE THAT PASSWORD DOWN SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU WON"T FORGET IT.

send me an eMail if you get stuck...

Go to the address bar and type in the IP address manually - I just tried it and was prompted for a user name and password.
If that doesn't work you can try the following:
(My setup involves netgear - maybe it works the same way)

Read the manual to make sure you follow all the steps to the letter.
Disconnect all the modem and router cables.
Reset your router (by depressing the reset button).
Uninstall the software.
Turn off the computer.
Start the process over.

Worked for me - hope it works for you.

The other answers are fine, but also make sure you don't have a firewall (like norton internet security, etc.) running on your computer. It might be blocking you.
