First, try and relax. You know you're having a panic attack, so tell yourself that's ALL it is. Take some deep breaths. In through the nose, hold it a couple of seconds, then slowly out through the mouth. Do this until you begin to feel the anxiety ease.
Once you're calming down, take a warm bath, or lie down and put on some calm music. Anything that you know is calming to you, do this right now.
You've got a good handle on what's going on with yourself, you know it's a panic attack, and that's the biggest hurdle of getting through this. Usually, once you realize that this is what's happening, you can get it under control within a few minutes.
If there's anything around you that's getting on your nerves, such as loud TV, etc., turn it down...get yourself into "relax mode."
Amazingly, there are chemicals in milk that when it's warmed, work something like a tranquilizer. If you can stomach it, drink a cup of warm milk, slowly. You can add some chocolate to it and that makes it nice!
If you have any Benedryl, or generic dyphenhydramine (used for allergies) that is the common ingredient in over the counter sleeping medication. Take one of those and that should do the trick. Check the ingredient though. You don't want sudafed, or something else because that can be a stimulant. You want DYPHENHYDRAMINE.
If you still feel like you can't get control, then you may want to have someone take you to the doctor or hospital. I think you can do this though. Just put your mind to it, and make yourself relax.
I'll say a prayer right now for you!

Just try to go to sleep, it will go away in the morning. If you have anything around the house, like a glass of wine or some tylenol pm or benadryl, u can use it to help you fall asleep. And until you do, do something that feels comfortable to you, like watching tv. You should know that many people have panic attacks and although there is not much you can do about it, often taking preventative measures to relieve stress before it gets the best of you works. :)

You have probably heard this a million times but deep breathing and repeating a calming thought to yourself over and over in your mind (I know this sounds stupid, but I sometimes say "calm blue ocean" and just the repetition helps me).
I know it is hard though...I hope you're okay!

Try taking a good long hot bath and this will cause your muscles to relax and hopefully you can go to sleep.
