SMART in Performance management speak means:
1. Specific - goals should be specific
"I want to own my on home in Harare in ten years"
2. Measurable - You cannot rate what you cannot measure
can you measure that -yes
3. Achievable - An elephant is eaten one mouthful at a time.
can that be achieved - yes with the right investment plan as mortgages are not available.
4. Realistic - not only should it be achievable but what is realistic.
that is a realistic goal
5. Time Bound - A little pressure is good it bring performance
And you will find you are usually ahead of schedule!
