I've always been fascinated by the names of movie theaters. Mine was the Harris Theater (later changed to the Mt. Oliver Theater). I've heard of the Bijou, the Strand, the Roxy........Any others?

we used to go watch Tarzan or Cowboy or horror movies and sometimes 17 cartoons.

Now the town has one big multiplex 30 screens but lacks the intimacy that I had as a kid. The movies were magic then

The Lyric Theater - The building is no longer being used as a theater. It is being used as an antique store. I think the old camera is still there and I know the screen is still there. I have seen it. What memories I have from the mid to late 70's.

The Downtown Cinema, in Richland, Washington. I have fond memories of seeing Tim Burton's Batman and Who Framed Roger Rabbit there. I also remember seeing Willow and E.T. in another theater in town but the name escapes me. Good times.

the freedom theater, and the Madison theater. they were walk in action picture theaters, at the same time as i became older we went to the pike 27chronic in. a great number of sturdy memories for all. from at the same time as i became in grade college till i graduated extreme college. lolol
