Go to the doctor and re take a test and ultrasound. If you are not pregnant, have a ovaries and uterus test done to see if you have a cyst or any other issue.
If you are a very active person (sport's athlete) under or over weight, you also can have abnormal cycles.
I do recommend you going on birth control if the test is negative. By now, you should know if you are pregnant or not.
Going on birth control gives you protection from pregnancy AND helps regulate your periods. At the same time, learn the usage of protection of condoms or any other method out there. It is available. No excuse to not obtain it.
If going to have sex, then that means you think you are mature enough to do so. Sex is more than just sex. It is about protecting yourself too. 1 hour sex session can affect the rest of your life. Remember that.

How long was it when you went to the doctors and had a pregnancy test. If you went to early then it may not show up on the blood test. Also in most cases you are not pregnant if you had your period soon after you had unprotected sex.
If you want until the next month to have your test then the chance are you are not pregnant. If you want a second opinion that is fine too. Buy a test kit at the drug store and test yourself again. If it is negative then you are not pregnant.
Do you want to be pregnant? Is that why you didn't have protected sex? If not, then use this terror that you are feeling as a second chance. ALWAYS USE AT LEAST A CONDOM.
Another thing, go back to the doctor and ask to be put on Birth Control Pills. Then are you will have to worry about is STD's and HIV.

You are probably not pregnant but you have certainly taken a great risk. Whoever this boy is he should be responsible enough not to place you in this dilemma and since he has done so he is irresponsible and you shou;ld not have sex with him ever again. Anyway a simple urine test will tell. Just go to a doctor, the test only takes a few minutes and it will help you to get through this difficult period. Also a doctor should be able to advise you on your present problem. BTW you should not have unprotected sex with anybody unless and until you are ready for a commitment and unless and until you know the other person's sexual history and can trust him completely. Didn't anybody tell you about venereal diseases and AIDS (which is fatal) not to mention the problems that comes with unwanted pregnancy.

If you havent had sex since you got your period you arent pregnant. Although some women do continue to have periods while pregnant the odds arent good. Did you Dr give you a pregnancy test? Did you take one on your own?

In the first place, you shouldn't be having sex until you're married...then you wouldn't have this problem.
And yes, you could..but why are you thinking you are?..after the doctor says no?!
You could always go back to the doctor to check.

You can only get pregnant if you had your period. So don't do that again and you won't get pregnant.
