The way things work today, It seems as though they are accountable only to themselves.

The government is not accountable for anything they do...we have things done to us they we should of had to vote for...any more they just do it...They do experiments on us all the time and we get very sick with out reason and no matter what is wrong with you the doctor says quit smoking....hell i never smoked

It does seem that way, but the majority of people do not vote. And even the ones that vote, do not get all of the information to make good decisions. The only way to change this is to become informed and speak up. This is what Ross Perot was all about, changing the system. He wasn't the right person to make it happen, but if everyone wants reform, it can happen. Our society is full of whiners, and most people are not being held accountable!! Government is a reflection of that.

Yes they have, and the people don't seem to care! This started after JFK! Presidents started courting big business. I guess that's better than being killed! Big businesss has a track record of not caring about the people! When it comes to big busines and people, people are dead meat and business laughs at them! The issue of minimum wage was meant for The the average working person to be able to support a family of four comfortable! We haven't see that for a long time now. Big business has worked hard to destroy that and it seems they have been very successful! Again proving they don't give a hoot about people. People die daily because of this! Thus big business murders people daily!
