hey i had IUI (inter uterine insemination- they put the sperm in the uterus next to egg to give it a better chance of fertilizing) a week ago. so it is too early to do a pregnancy test but what signs should i look for now to see if i am pregnant?

i got the morning sickness...so that was my sign to get checked. i did the whole pregnancy tests and each time i took it, it showed positive. when i got to the doctor, she said i was four weeks pregnant....i took the pregnancy test a week before that...so i take it three weeks. oh and convienantly i was to have my period soon and it didn't show up...and i had a regular cycle (my husband knew my cycle!), so that was my second hint.

I didn't start having pregnancy related symptoms until I was 8 weeks pregnant. At this point...if you are pregnant you are not far enough along to have any symptoms. Your body produces a pregnancy hormone called HCG. Everyday you are pregnant your body starts producing more of the hormone. It isn't until you are at least 4 weeks pregnant (one month since your last period) that your body is producing enough of the hormone to result in a positive pregnancy test. As the pregnancy hormone increases you then begin feeling the symptoms. Most likely you will test positive for pregnancy before you get any symptoms. At 8 weeks my breast were extremely tender and I was always exhausted. With my first pregnancy I started having morning sickness when I was 12 weeks pregnant. With my second pregnancy I had no morning sickness at all. Keep in mind...every woman's body responds different to hormones. My first pregnancy was a nightmare, and my second pregnancy I didn't feel pregnant until I was in my last trimester because I never got morning sickness or had any pregnancy symptoms other than missing my periods and feeling my little one kick!!! Good luck and God Bless!!!

I started to get nauseated, loss of appetite and VERY tender breasts and nipples the week before my period was due, so probably any time soon for you now! (If you are pregnant) Don't stress if you don't feel pregnant though, some women don't have any symptoms till 2 or 3 months other than a missed period.

Good Luck!

Pay no attention to any signs except a + on a HPT or blood test. Being hungry, tired, tender breasts, nausea, etc can be signs for a number of things
