You have two problems. First, a regular CD player does not play video CD's. You need a video CD player or a DVD player. A video CD player will have a video output in addition to an audio output, and like a VCR, it may also have an antenna output to connect to the antenna on a TV to use channel 3 or 4 to see the playback. Do you have the right kind of player, either a real video CD player or a DVD player? Now, for the 2nd problem, the format of what you put on disk. There are two common formats for video on disk, called VCD and DVD. They are NOT the same thing. VCD is used on a standard CD (I think) while DVD goes onto DVD media. I use Nero Burning to make my disks. Though I have not done it, the program has the ability to burn a VCD or a DVD format to a CD or a DVD blank disk from a movie file stored in MPEG, AVI or one of several other formats for video files on a computer hard disk. The reason why your disks play in your computer is that the disk is readable by the drive that burned it, and if you have the appropriate software, it will play the movie.

Check your player to make sure it can play a video disk, and check what format you are putting on disk so you choose the right format for the player you have.

first of all make sure which software r u using for burning a disc. i prefer nero 7.0 premium edition. then just check it out whether u r choosing a video cd mode for burning a movie or not.
this time when u burn a movie do as follows
1. first of all choose a video cd mode.
2. then choose "PAL" type between pal n ntfc
3. then start burning .
i m sure this time it will run on computer asa well as your cd player too...

Sometimes the movie who is in the disk didn't autorun. You have to start the movie on DVD player. Bcoz the write files are in .DAT format. U can start the movie in Window media player but u have to firstly find the .DAT files in the CD.and open in window media player.

Thnks,
