Yes, I had actually thought about that at one point. I really didn't want to go through pregnancy, and there are children out there that need someone to take them in. I wanted a little girl so bad, I actually considered adopting one.

I would consider adopting, if I was younger and wanted a child or even several children. I might would even consider being a Foster parent, but I don't think people should be trying to raise children when they are in their upper 40s and disabled, it would not be fair to the children. Sometimes I am grouchy, and I don't want my rugs and furniture to be destroyed, children are soooo destructive!

I am friends with some of the neighbor's children, but I don't let them in my house, we usually sit on the swings on the porch or go out and decorate the driveways with sidewalk chalks or I sometimes will bring my Barbies out and we play Barbies...I like kids and old people, I just don't want them to live with me...By the way, I always make and give my Barbie friends clothes for their fashion dolls, I sew, and knit and crochet, and my husband made me a nice 2 stori house for Barbie and her friends we sit on the porch and play for hours. I just do not have the patience to care for them 24 hours a day! AND I DO NOT BABYSIT, they are my friends, but when they start getting fussy or tired, I call their mothers to come and get them! I keep juice boxes and kid foods for my guests. We sometimes go to the kids pizza place (parents encouraged to come along)...but I pay, I get invited to nearly every birthday party because I treat them like people and you would be surprised at how much they really like an older person like me, because I do not baby talk or chastise and it's very relaxing to just be a kid with them for awhile...knowing that if they become unhappy while they are at my home, or start getting cranky or try to throw a tantrum... I can call their mother and send them home.

Some children are curious and interesting, and really can be sweet and fun little people, and they can grasp the concept of playing nicely with friends and learn a lot about their own social abilities if you know you can trust adult companions to be friends to them.
