I don't think this counts, because I didn't do it directly, but I went shopping for school supplies today for lower-income schools.

There are several teachers who go to church with my Mother, and they work for the poorest school district in our area. The school district puts out a list of schools supplies that are needed, because the families in the district usually cannot afford them, and these ladies give them to interested people in our neighborhood. I always have my Mom pick up a copy of the list for me, and I buy a bunch of stuff like notebooks and binders, etc.

Since I don't have kids of my own, I like to buy school supplies for someone else's children.

i work with my local SPCA. one of our programs is to go out into the community were a large number of stray dogs are dumped. we wish we could get all of them in the shelter..but sometimes we can't catch them. so a fellow SPCA worker and i go out three times a week and make sure they get fresh water and food. we also rescue any new litters we find.
it's frustrating...the never ending cycle of humans abandoning dogs. i hate ppl sometimes!!!

No I didn't, I was sick at home today with a bad cold. But by staying home and not getting other people sick, I helped people. Does that count?
