My friend is having a baby.
How long are you in the hospital if you have c-section?
How about if you do naturally??

It depends on how you deliver!

If you have a regular vaginal delivery they probably just 2 days if you don't have any complications!
If you have a Cesarean then you'll stay between 3-7 days depending on your progress!

In the UK, if everything is better than 100% with the labour for you and the baby then I think you can get a 6 hour discharge. If you have a c-section they like to keep you in for about 4/5 days. If it's natural but the usual odd stitch or something I think it's kinda up to how you feel and obviously how the baby is but about 2/3 days. Some women like to stay for a while - I personally couldn't wait to get home and try it all out by ourselves.

depending on your insurance usually 24-48 hours if there are no complications. for c-section some insurance may allow an extra day. years ago women stayed in the hospital up to a week. this is almost unheard of anymore unless it is medically necessary. to be sure tell her to call the number on her insurance card and find out the normal length of stay. or she may be able to find out from her human resources or benefits department at work.

I had a C-section and I was in the hospital for a week. I had three different roommate that all came and went while I was in there who had all had natural births. My son just turned 15, but I can't imangine it changed too much.

I stayed in the hospital for 2 days. My baby was perfect adn healthy and I was totally fine-no complications.

A normal, non-complicated c-section would ahve been 4 days.
It really depends on you and your baby and how things go

if everything goes well for both. 4 days for c-section.
and 2 days for naturally. Because a new born has to be in hospital for 24 hours after being born.

Vaginal birth 2-3 days [depends on if there are no problems]

C-section 3-5 days [also depends on if everything goes ok]
