The morning after pill or Plan B has to be taken within 72 hours. It doesn't end a pregnancy, but will prevent implantation, which is why it has to be taken so soon. The FDA just decided that it can be bought over the counter if you are over 18, but I don't know when it will go into effect. An abortion pill, RU 486, can be taken in the first 8 weeks of pregnancy and will cause you to miscarry.

It is not called the abortion pill. Abortion is expelling a developing cells for potential embryo. That embryo will develop to a fetus, to an unborn baby, to a born infant.

You are talking about the morning after pill. Morning after pill helps prevent ovulation and if ovulation occurs, it develops enough lining of the uterus to not allow the egg to attach itself to the wall.

You will not be able to obtain the morning after pill that period of time. It is only available up to 72 hours after the sex. It is highly effective with in 24 hours, it decreases as the hours go on. You will be on day 4, which ovulation and implantation could already occurred by then.

I would contact plannedparenthood or local clinic for more information regarding morning after pill (go to the website) and options in regards to "what if" pregnancy. Need to take a pregnancy test with in 4 weeks and make an appt to get on birth control and usage of condoms if you are not already.

wait untill you are supposed to get your period, then go to a doctor, he/she can schedual an abortion if need be, and then give you birth control. In the mean time relax, stress may make your period late, and cause symptoms of pregancy. How likely are u to be pregnant? Most women ovulate 14 days before the start of their period. and are fertile for about three days before and two days aftre they ovulate. As for a morning after pill, it is to late.

Yes, I think you should take it. In fact you should take the whole bottle if they come that way, then you can abort your insides at the same time.

Look my dear, If you are going to have SEX... Get on B/C and have your stupid partners wear condoms. Life is hard enough without a baby. Use your head about your life unless you are trying to get pregnant.

I'm pretty sure the "morning after" pill only works 72 hours after having sex.

hi i guess its the morning after pill that you are talking about. i dont think that wud work. but what you could and should do in consultation with and supervision of a doc(gynaecologist) only.. she/he can give you pills which will abort the foetus.. if you take it until just after your next period is due.
ofcourse - you dont yet know if you are pregnant. you need to consult before you take any decision. i dunno if it slegal in your area, also you may just want to think it over and keep the baby. finally its your own decision. wish you good luck

I think if you can have unprotected sex then you don't need an abortion pill. If you think you are old enough to spread your legs then you are old enough to take up the responsibilities.

Don't get an abortion, and let the child live. If you don't want to keep the child, put him/her up for adoption. Why did you have sex in the first place?
