This is actually possible. You must however buy a TV tuner. There are certain products you have to buy that will allow you to do so. Also it depends on your model of computer. But I know somebody with a laptop and a TV tuner. They can watch TV anywhere as long as they are hooked up. Hope this helps to clear it up that it isn't a scam

You can watch TV on your computer. All you have to do is hook up a cable line to your computer. I watch TV all the time while I'm on. You can only do it if you have cable though. It's only a scam if your cable is hooked up illegally.
