I live in INDIA. I like Pizzas. Any order you make with the Pizza vendor comes atleast to Rs 200 for a single serving. I find this expensive and want to know justification for such high costs.

Is it the Fixed cost for a Pizza vendor that is adding to the cost.
Is it the manufacturing cost per pizza thats so high
Is it the delivery cost that matters

I presume that the ingredients don't cost you much.....

Are high prices a way to "abnormal profits" ?

If these high costs are unjustified then there is a possibility to become a low cost Pizza vendor in India . In that case what is the expected investment to server 300 people 6inch Non Veg Pizzas everyday ?

The price is not abnormally high. I assume the OP means 200 rupees, which is a bit over $4 USD. A slice of cheese piece here is $2.50 and for a bigger than average slice is $3.50. The OP fails to mention if these are tiny pieces or big pieces, and whether there are any additional toppings

I'm not sure how much 200 Rs equals in American dollars, but there is probably a reason for the cost.

In the US, some deliveries are expensive, and you usually pay for a combination of taste and service. A large fourteen inch works pizza for Papa Johns is about $14.99 regular price plus tax plus delivery charge plus a tip for the driver. It ends up being about $25 for a single pizza.

In India, I would imagine delivery being more difficult and time consuming than here in the US, because of more traffic. (My step father is Indian and I've been five times).

You usually get what you pay for and sometimes high costs aren't so outrageous considering the extra time it takes to deliver it.

And, if you started your business, and sold 300 pizzas, you would need a good amount of drivers to take them in a timely fashion, especially in congested areas. The drivers will still have to be paid but will not be in the store to help make the pizzas, so you might need to hire extra people to work in-store.

The more you think about it, the more that high price seems reasonable.

I don't live there but if Pizza cost is your worst concern your life is wonderful. I don't have the leisure of complain about the cost of pizza.

I'm not poor and I got money but my life is full of other problems. I would pay $5000 to make pizza my biggest concern.

supply and demand and modern capitalistic economics, and marketing in your area along with local laws. These are things you need to understand and look up.
