difference about positive line and a evaporation line?

i just took a dollar tree pregnancy test(new choice) and at first it looked like a very very light positive line..i mean light..but viewable. and that was before 10 mins...now it looks like an evaporation line...i guess i was looking in the light too much...and i cant tell the difference....but i heard a line was a line as long as it's before 10 mins. i didnt even use alot of pee..like 1/4 of a cup.(tmi)cuz i was anxious...but it's now 8 dpo...should i wait till the morning and take the other one...or should i consider it a very faint positive? any of this happen to anyone ? please tell!!

Listen I have 6 children and I have taken alot of pg tests and those dollar store test do make you think there is a line there when there is not one and if you are trying to get pregnant you will stare at the damn thing until your eye balls pop out hoping you see a line that is not there I know I have been there the best pregnancy test in my opinion is clear blue easy I know they are not cheap but you want to see a real line and the cheaper test leave evaporation lines for some reason or get one of the digital test that tell you yes or no they are at Walgreen's a little pricey but worth your sanity .Also wait at least a week past when your period is suppose to be due because some times you may not have enough of the pregnancy hormone to make the test give you the color pink or what ever color

With my last two pregnancies, I got that very faint line. I've always heard a line is a line, but I retested with both anyway. Both times the second (and in the first case the third!) tests also came back positive.

Personally, I don't know if I'd trust the dollar store tests, but maybe that's just me.

Wait until morning, pee into the cup, dip the stick for however long the instructions say to dip it and read the results within the specified time limit. Then, as always, confirm the results with your doctor.

if it showed up as positive (but light ) right away thats still positive. Ive never used the dollar tree tests so I don't know how good they are... Why dont you try a different brand and wait until your first morning urine and then test... also if you are only 8 days past ovulation it still might be too early... a blood test from the Dr would be more conclusive also..

False negatives (telling you you're not pregnant when you are) are VERY common. False positives are not. If there's any indicator at all in the positive window, or that looks like the positive result, you are pregnant. Even if it's faint. If it's really faint, or it disappears, it's a very early pregnancy, and not enough of the hormone is there to provide a clear lasting result. Results after 10 minutes are inaccurrate.

That peeonastick.com web site is deffinitely worth visiting if for nothing more than pure entertainment!!! i have used those same dollar tree tests and had the exact same results (a few times). it was definitely enough to make me waste the $$ on a real test, only to be disapointed with a true negative result. I think you should buy a good test or wait a few more days. But those dollar tree tests just dont cut it unless you are VERY pregnant.

any test i have taken if i rememebr correctly you shouldnt even pay attention to the results after 5 minutes... i would try in the morning, some tests work better with your morning pee!!!

i would wait until morning to retake the test when your urine is the most consitrated, then go see your doctor.
