1. something to fade tracks together, because blank space between tracks sounds like crap. i would suggest one of the following items:

2. an amplifier, preferably mono or else you will get a weird echo effect that sounds really weird
3. speakers
4. a good power source
5. cables to hook it all together

If you already have a reciever and speakers for your home theater system, I would take it to the party.
Then
look for the auxillary input and switch the reciever to input and plug a cable from that jack to the headphon jack of the ipod,
If the input jack is only the big jack or the red and white jacks, you can buy a cable from Radio Shack that will connect the ipod to the reciever.
