No. You need an open tank as they breath air. Just don't put so much water in it that they can get out.

Bettas are good jumpers and don't always need an excuse to jump out, though poor water quality may send them heading for the hills faster. I had a betta jump through a hole in my tank hood the size of a quarter. Not only do I recommend a cover for all betta tanks, but I also suggest taping or screening over any small openings around filters and heaters.

Not just Bettas but also some other fish too and that's why you usually want a cover for the tank so it doesn't happen. But it's not 100% Bettas will jump out of their tank but it does happen.

I've had bettas for years. They never jumped out. But you may want to keep a light cover on the tank just in case. They go to the surface and make air bubbles, so don't seal the tank. good luck.

Yes, it happens mostly. Purchase a roof 2 ensure safety. get an aerator for air circulation so that u need 2 change water only once in a week or month. If no aerator, u have 2 change water daily !!!

As long as you don't fill it so full that it would be easy too. Also don't put nothing in the tank that it could get stuck on the bottom due to they breath air.

Mine jumped out, and my dog ate it. I would recommend a top on the tank. Believe me, if you want to keep your fish, it's worth it.
