What if when one person sees the colour green for example, do other people see the same colour? Or a different colour but still calls it green? Could this explain why people have favorite coulours?

I'VE ALWAYS WODNERED SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THAT!!! OH MY GOSH!! I'M NOT ALONE IN THIS WORLD!

I used to be like, "What color is his jacket?" just to check. It would confuse people and they'd ask me if I could see ok. haha It's weird if you think about it! Like, what if we all see them differently...gah! Craziness! I've got to stop....thinking too much...oh no!!! GAH!! Look what you've done to me!!!

haha

Acutally I'm not sure about favourite colours and if theres a relationship, persoanlly I'm fond of blues and yellows (cyan comes a close "second" or is that third?) anyhow...

I find it fascinating to imagine seeing a whole different colour like say infra red, without goggles or something, just as part of normal sight... (how it would blend in with the colours I already see)... but again I'm digressing

the truth is, we can't be in another persons brain at least not yet, and I'm not even sure that technology will develop a way... so, our perceptions remain our own... your question becomes moot

That doesn't mean its not interesting and even enjoyable to wonder about... that we all were shown a colour and leanrt that its called.. say "blue" for example.. but what looks blue to me? perhaps you'd call it yellow if you saw it through my eyes...

hopes this muddle of an answer helps.. in some way...

usually people's favorite colors are chosen from the color they are most accustomed to, or see the most often. For example a soccer player might say green, or a fisherman, blue.
