I live in Orlando and we were hit by 3 hurricanes in 2004. Charley was the smallest, but the strongest and caused siginficant damage.
I own a trash hauling company and did really well doing clean up jobs.
We were on the outer bands of Katrina and several other hurricanes last year and it effected our weather slightly. Storms, rain, wind, nothing horrific.
My wife and 2 kids were visiting up in Chicago when Charley hit us, I toughed it alone with my 2 cats and dog. My wife came back and when the next hurricane came, Francis, my wife wanted nothing to do with it. So we drove over to New Orleans and had a 6 day vacation. Isn't that ironic. The next year we all know what Katrina did to them. Hurricanes are scary, I mean really scary.

No, I don't think Toronto is prone to any hurricanes, we're not even close to the ocean.
