Are you on vacation? If so, did you call your credit card company and let them know you were going to be overseas/at a different location? Some companies will view any attempted transactions done in a place a long distance from the home of the cardholder as card fraud/stolen card. Your Visa should have a number on the back to call for customer service - give them a call and straighten this all out.

Sometimes hotels make a reservation on you credit. That means that the amount of you stay will be reservated to make sure that when you leave that the card will not bounce. This means that there was a large transaction made on the card and that can influence your daily limit. That is why I alays pay upfront in cash, otherwise you will not be able to use your card for a month!!

Try more than 1 machine, call your company too PRONTO. There should be a number on the back of the card. You want to know if someones skimmed it, there are skimmers in lots of ATMS so ALWAYS look at the card insert and stay vigilant.

The withdrawl limit is based on the 24 hour clock..if you used it late the night before that could account for the message.
