No, that would make him a martyr. It would be better if he were arrested & checked for ticks in front of the cameras, like Saddam was.

I think it would make a HUGE impact... based on several points

A. terrorism of course wouldn't end, of course, but showing that if you strike the U.S., you will pay, would be good.

B. It would create a huge hole in the command structure... how many "terrorists" have royal saudi/wealthy saudi links for funding and experience fighting a gorilla war... VERY few have both... and few have either one... so eliminating the man that has both is a BIG STEP.

C. NO ONE ELSE has shown they can strike the U.S. domestically... NOBODY... I don't tend to take a threat so seriously until the threat actually proves it's self to be a threat... so taking out the one man that has done it... is a VERY GOOD STEP...

so, while it's not a "cure all"... I think it would be a HUGE step in making America MUCH, MUCH SAFER... by eliminating the one man that has successfully attacked us...

99 percent of other terrorists are MUCH more concerned with Israel or local governments... than with domestic U.S. attacks... (granted that's not good for Israel, but I'm worried about the U.S. first, Israel second)

I mean there is always going to be some goat-herder kid that will join up... killing him DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING... HE'S JUST ONE FACE WITH NO SKILLS AMONG MILLIONS WITH NO SKILLS

Killing Bin Laden is not the solution but to identify all the terrorists with their supporters and kill them all in order to get rid of terrorism.

No.

Obviously, there is some sort of organization to them, otherwise they wouldn't be as much of a threat as they are. If we killed the top dog, there would be another ready to step in and take their place. No one is irreplaceable. Even Bin Laden can be replaced if needed.

Absolutely not. Neither is "nuking" Iran. Terrorism is an ideology, not a country. Until we attack the ideology of terrorism, it will never be stopped. The Ku Klux Klan is an ideology. By showing many people their ideology was dumb, it was reduced and rendered harmless right now. Terrorism has to be dealt the same way...

No, it would not change things, as the basic cause of the problem has not been resolved. The terrorism was caused by the US in our disregard of others, and killing off the figure-head will not change the emotional drive in the others who feel down-trodden by our national policies. We have abused the Middle-East for years and those abuses will not disappear over one man's death.

NO....If that happened Bin laden would just become a martyr, and someone else would just step up and take his place.

No, he's just one of many terrorists, each of whom must be brought to justice. A bullet is cheaper than a bunker buster, but in view of his exalted position, we should not deny him the very best.
