I actually like pencil but I use pen more often because I can read it easier.

I'm a lefty, and pencil gets on the side of my hand, and it has smeared on the paper before. Also, a w/ a closed notebook it can smear. so, definitly pen

Pen. I don't like pencils, messy and you have to constantly sharpen them. Good for test though as you can erase them.

Pilot Precise Rolling Ball extra fine pens are my all-time favorites! I will never handwrite another word if they ever stop making those pens!
