Elton's music is loved by all kinds of people. Just go to one of his concerts and you will see young and old, gay and straight, and people from all different races.

Of course he is. He is one of the top donors of AIDS research, he is a great role model, and he is an amazing artist/entertainer. I think he is an icon for gay and straight people.
