Rudy Giuliani took a swipe at a potential rival for the White House in 2008, Sen. Hillary Clinton, saying, a Clinton candidacy would super energize Republican voters and campaign contributors!

"Democrats seem to support her as their main candidate for president . . . and it seems like Republicans are just waiting for her to be the candidate so they can vote against her.”

Giuliani appeared to echo sentiments voiced by New York Gov. George Pataki, who has called Clinton "one of the most negative polarizing personalities in all American politics,” the New York Post reports.

As a Registered Independent I can see no better action for the Republicans in '08 than to run Hillary for President!

Already every News media is licking their lips and can almost taste the blood as the GOP prepares to carve, slice and dice Hillary The "Lightening Rod" Clinton ten ways from Sunday!

Could be because Rudy Giuliani would beat her if he ran. I'm a Dem ... I don't like Hillary ... I might vote for Rudy. He has a real chance because he's a liberal Republican.

We democrats need a candidate that can beat the republicans n 2008 .. Hillary ain't the one.

As far as strategically it might not be a bad move when you think of it on terms of she's already been through a presidential election. Even though it was Bill going to the white house the first time, I'm sure she was looked at under a microscope during that election. So any dirt they dig up would have to be post bill and Hillary. If she runs her campaign a certain way she could get around most the bashing, depending how she spins it. If you look at it on terms like what is she going to run on then who knows. If she manages to tap into the women's vote she could have a strong chance of winning. It makes me wonder how long this goal has been in place for her. I guess that if she focuses on what her husband did for the country and not who he was as a man then maybe in light of current polls of the nation's opinions who knows it may be a good move for her to run, but a lot can happen between now and 2008. On an interesting note it's kind of interesting to watch her interact with the generals on c-span.

Hillary is a strong, independent, intelligent woman that would make a great president. However the repuglican hate machine is already geared up to defeat her. Even some democrats would not vote for her as they believe the repuke's hype. It is a shame because she would be a strong candidate if it wasn't for the repuglican rhetoric.

First of all, I'd love it if they ran some left-wingers. It would be nice to have a real choice. I bet some new voters might come out for that, too.

Secondly, I hope the Democrats don't take advice from Republicans. The ones in Connecticut ignored them, and I'm glad for that.
