Yes. I often put everything into terms of philosophy and ethics. This leads to problems interacting with people. It also gave me lots of problems in school and with my parents, as I felt (and still do) that doing the most logical and ethical thing at all times was appropriate, however, that got me into alot of trouble for not fallowing all the amazingly stupid rules.
I don't know about your intelligence, but most people here are themselves to stupid to realize this is a legitemate question.
Being to smart for one's own good is a common trait of InTP's (one of 16 personality types based on the work of Carl Jung).

I am, it gets in the way of happiness sometimes can make for a pretty lonely life. Example, I an 34 years old I use to have a job where the average age was from 26 to 39, the majority of them
can't use a map. Didn't know who Hitler, Stalin, or Mao were
and didn't know it was the Japanese who attacked us at Pearl Harbor! That was easily the clearest example of ignorance being bliss. I found myself way to smart for my own good big time, it was depressing.

I'm not a genius, but I think I'm brilliant. I find slow and careful thought to be interesting, and when I want to think fast, I play a musical instrument. When you think slowly and carefully, you will be more objective. The emotions get in the way of good cognitive thinking, I use music to express emotions, and tie in emotions with higher thought, so that my higher thought and emotions are in harmony. That may essentially be the purpose of music.
I have a certain order that I usually use to try to solve problems, and it helps when my computer breaks, or I can't figure it out. Right now I'm trying to apply that to music. I'm trying to find out how the ear works, and study music theory. Some tests have concluded that listening to Mozart can make you smarter.
I think Music and faith in God (prayer) can make a person that's smart into a better person.

It is a common mistake to confuse intelligence with ignorance.
It often makes people angry when you point out the difference and they still don’t understand.
Its OK -- I forgive you...
