micreosoft sent message stating they were increasing my virtual memory, and I need to know why and how can I improve my capacity therein

The message you received indicates that your Windows is configured to configure itself with the amount of virtual memory that it needs.

You should only need to do the following: ensure your C: drive has at lease 2 GB of free space on it.

virtual memory:
right click on my computer>properties>advance> choose Settings under Performance>Advanced
theres the virtual memory on lower part...
virtual memory is use for faster data and program application.

If virtual memory is at max, get a bigger hard drive.

If you are using Win Xp, just right click on My computer, left click on properties.
On systems performance's form: left click on Advanced tab, left click the setting button on advanced
On performance option' form: Left click on Advanced Tab, Click the change button and now you are free to set it
