Yes.

Possible? definitely. Probable? no. The odds of loosing a letter are very slim, but sometimes letters are destroyed by machines, Mis delivered to people who simply throw them out, or lost for a long time. They found a 25 year old letter while replacing the window in the door of a 1/2 ton postal truck I used when I was a rural carrier, and they actually delivered it. Amazingly the addressee still lived at the house.

Yes, letters can get lost in the mail. But, considering how many pieces of mail are sent, and how few are lost, the odds that any one piece of mail will get lost is so small as to be extreamly unlikely.

LOST??? NO! They are not lost. They are mishandled. In just the past 7 days, the great and mighty USPS has returned to our office, TAX RETURNS with the IRS labels on them, utility bills addressed with the utility lable, client's bills and tax info addressed to the proper address, and a return, that was RETURNED to the SENDER!!!! All the postman had to say was, 'we have a new machine and it isn't working properly!'. Sooooo, is the Post Office going to pay the penalties and late fees on that tax return that was sent ON TIME?? HAHHAHA NOT! Be VEWY AFWAID peeple. It gets worse and the postal employees stress gets even worse than that. It was the 3rd most stressful job in the nation a few years back when all the postal workers went beserk

yeah...thats why you should always have a return address. if something is wrong with the sending address or you dont have enough stamps and theres no return address...they just toss it aside. a little harsh, but what do you expect them to do? actually, i think they should send it anyway...i mean who cares about like 39 extra cents...unless theres some other problem
