Good question. I often wondered the same. I thought maybe a sociology degree would be good enough, but I found out through the university you have to go through the social work program. Atleast thats the way it works here in the state of Nevada.
Can I ask you this. What are you teaching, and what classes. I wondered how to teach in the school districts with a Sociology degree without actually having to go back and get education degree.

Depending on the requirements of your state of residence, you need to find out if your sociology degrees qualifies you to work as a social worker or if you need either a social work or counseling degree. It might or it might not. If it doesn't you might only need to take a few classes. The fact that you have been teaching can help as most school want their social workers or school counselors to teach as well. Can you talk to the current school social worker or counselor where you are teaching and ask for information?

Man that's so funny what you just said GODFATHER. Seeming you never turned out where you wanted to with all that pot in your head. And why would you click 'answer' this question if you want to 'ask' her a question? Doesn't make much sense now does it?
& as far as my answer goes ->
Whatever you do, try not to listen to potheads like GODFATHER, since they think they can do anything with the right amount of pot in their veins. But you see, the fact is, you can't. As Elaine pointed out earlier, 'Can't help you mess up further'.
That's some helpful sh!t right there, since it makes clear that you messed up big time.
Yours Faithfully, D.
