I have heard that if American Politics continues on its present course Democracy will eventually see it's demise.

It is hard to predict the future, but I would have to say that democracy is Important to people who want it American Democracy is different though. Most people believe that a Democratic Nation involves politics, However, it is the people as a whole that make a nation free. If democracy in America was ever threatened, I can assure you that the people of this great nation of America will rise to fight, protect and defend our Constitution

It's certainly possible that American democracy could collapse, but throughout American history, democracy has a remarkable way of surviving, even through such things as martial law and the suspension of habeas corpus during the Civil War and the passage of the Sedition Act of 1918 during the Wilson administration.

The US is a dying nation and being a democracy is a false as we are a free country. Those are feel good words but not reality so who know what it will be in a 100 years.

Every year that goes by, we see stricter controls on our basic rights. The government is slowly taking away our rights and imposing its own brand of democracy. In 100 years, we will still call ourselves a democracy, but in reality, we will have a dictator in office of president.
