In order for any lasting peace in the world to exist, you'd have to completely rid the planet of religion, in all it's many forms, along with the memory of religion, as well!!! Sounds like a pretty tall order, but just maybe, worth the effort, at some point!!! However, it's just not possible, under present day circumstances!!! Sorry, but, it'll have to get a lot worse, before it gets any better!!!!

You need to read up on your ancient philosophy. People in the state of nature are perfectly free. But this means that they can do whatever they want which includes killing other people. So people leave the state of nature and form communities. The communities sole existence is to elect/select a government. The people people select/elect a government and basicly say, we wil give up some of our rights to you if you protect us from being killed. and the government exists solely to protect those that elected it based on the agreement made between the people. If everyone stayed in the stat of nature and no one attacked each other there is no reason for governments.

I don't know the titles of any books but it pertains to a one world government. This is something nearly every President has been in favor of since JFK. Countries like ours, the USA, will fight against it because it will eliminate our WMD's and our bargaining power in the world.
