What organization furnishes service dogs for the mobility impaired?

There are many, but what is really interesting is that many service dogs are trained by the family themselves. My husband is limited in his mobility, I checked into service dogs and face a very long waiting list. So now we are training a dog ourselves. He is now a year old and still learning. He is both a source of mobility and a cherished family pet.
