I have fibrocystic breast disease in my left breast which at times can be painful. For the past year now I have had this constant pain near that breast but more close to my underarm. It even hurts when I wear any type of bra especially underwire. I am 36 years old and no longer have a cycle due to a hysterectomy. My doctor just blames it on the cysts. Should I be concerned?

I would see another doctor. There is always a reason when you have pain. You shouldn't have to live with pain.

Hard to tell over the Internet, but if you are active and you lift heavy things it could be a sprain or a pulled muscle. But if in fact you are worried make an appointment to have a mammography and a chest x-ray to rule out anything else just for piece of mind. Good Luck

I would get another opinion. It's your life you got to think of & if it's something serious you should find out. I would definately do something about it. I don't think thats normal after what you've been through. You never know if the doctor is saying it so he don't have to bother. People are very unpredictable. Go get a second opinion to get the stress of it off your shoulders. Good luck!

I'd be concerned... have you had a baseline mammogram yet? I'd think with your breast type you'd be a candidate for a pre-age-40 mammogram. Talk to your doctor about that...and there should be something they can do for your pain...perhaps it's time for a different doc?

You might have had your breasts replaced wrongly. Re-affix the left breast to the right side and the pain will be aligned properly under the right arm.
