I was diagnosed from my OBGYN has having BV about a week ago. I was perscribed metrogel for 5 nights and finished it up (the last dose was 3 nights ago). Here's the thing--i didn't even know I had BV until i went in for a routine yearly pap smear...i probably had it for a good 2 or 3 months. The only difference i noticed was that sex was a little tender and painful and I had a slightly different odor to discharge (does it normally have a smell??). So, how will I know when I'm cured if i dind't even know i had it to start with?

I almost want to go back to my doc and be like, "just check me out so i know i'm ok"

If you took the medicine as instructed then you should be fine. My symptoms were a smell in discharge and when I peed, they went away very quickly after I took the meds. If you still are experiencing tender or painful sex, and a funny smell then you should go back to the doctor. If not then your cured!!!! YEAH!!!!
