They make great pets. Males and females can have attitudes and bucks stink terribly because they pee all over themselves. They get mean as well, not all of them, but most do.
Wethers, castrated males, make the best pets. They are sweet, they don't stink, and have no raging hormones. All goats that are dehorned make the best when there are children around, but most people like them better without horns.
Pygmies aren't the only small goat though, there are nigerian dwarves, crosses between pygmies and bigger breeds, and mini nubians. If you are looking for just a small one, there are a few more choses to have at. But all the above goes for these other breeds as well.

They make great pets but the billies pee on themselves to make them smell goo for the girls. Humans think it stinks so if you get a male have it neutered so it does not stink.

THEY ARE GREAT PETS!IF YOU CHOOSE A MALE,HAVE HIM CASTURATED OR HE WILL SMELL REALLY BAD,PLUS ALL MALE GOATS LIKE TO PEE IN THERE OWN MOUTH,I AM NOT JOKING!SO IF I WERE YOU I WOULD GET A FEMALE!I RAISE GOATS ON MY FARM!

Yes they do.. Choose a female, testosterone causes billies to smell bad.

i have 6 african pygmy goats and they are awesome! make sure that u get the male goats fixed becuase if u dont they pee on themselves as a wat to attractive females. good luck and have fun if u get goats!

Yes they do but the males sometimes have a musky smell about them.

yep, make sure you get a female as males are quite smelly...
