OK one of my friends is having a baby in April. We think that she needs to have a girl so I said that we are going to will it to be a girl, since that is what she wants. One of my other friends said that the foods she eats can change the baby`s sex. It sounds crazy to me but is it possible, and if so what are the foods?

Sorry - the sex is determined as soon as the sperm & egg meet. You have to do the special "boy" or "girl" diets BEFORE you're pregnant. Supposedly if the woman eats certain foods, her body will provide a better environment for the male (or female, if you want a girl) sperm to live. If the guy eats certain foods, it makes certain sperm stronger than the others.

I don't buy it though - some friends had a girl first & tried the diet thing (pretty religiously) twice - and ended up with 2 more girls....

the sperm provides the gender since the egg is always X

Some researchers have found some correlation between seafood and homosexuality in a study a few years back. My opinion is that this could be possible because, shellfishes and some fishes have been known to change sex when there is shortage of either gender. As they say, you are what you eat. Personally, i'd rather err on the safe side.

No, you can't change a baby's sex. Not through foods, nor will. The baby's sex was determinned at conception, and nothing will change it.

She's got a 50/50 chance of it being a girl. Hopefully it will turn out the way she wants.

the foods you eat before you get preg can help detemine the sex but not after its already conceved. once the little egg and little sperm unite it is what it is and theres nothing you can do about it.
(the foods you eat prior to conception can determine which sperm ges thru first.)
go to baby zone .com and try the sex predictor its 98% acurate.
(its under the pregnacy drop down menu) good luck im hoping for a girl as well {i already have 3 boys}

No. The gender is determined at the time of conception. Gender is determind by the chromosone's that the "winning" sperm cell carries. After fertilization, there's no going back ! HTH

The gender of a baby is SET at conception. There is no way you can change it.

There is no such thing! Baby's sex is determined biologically. Not by foods.
