I had this problem on a quiz. I already took the quiz and got a B+. I couldn't figure out how to do this problem. Can someone help me out just incase it comes up on the test I will know how to do it. Actually you do not have to tell me the answer. I just need to know how to set it up and I can get the answer.

Thanks

x^3 - 16x = 0

x(x^2 - 16) = 0

x(x+4)(x-4) = 0

x = 0, -4, or 4

Not a diff. of cubes. Take out the common factor x, then you get a diff. of 2 squares.
