No bare shoulders. Generally in very formal professional environments (court, etc.) women do not wear sleeveless blouses, regardless of the heat.
Same goes for cleavage revealing. Blouses can be V-necked but there's a limit. And no blouses that are buttoned so tight the button near your breasts pops out.
Straight skirts should have a kick pleat - would you be able to comfortably work on the bottom drawer of a filing cabinet - if not, don't wear it.
No low-fitting pants and no blouses which don't cover your middle. It's simply too much information to know what your colleague's belly ring looks like!
Save the hats for church and the wild tinting for your vacation. Depending on your company, attention getting jewelry may or may not be tolerated. It's not always a good thing to ask your boss, it will make it look like you can make good decisions on your own.
Good luck - and perhaps wondering if your mother would approve is a good measure of whether you should wear it to work.

I'd stay away from very short skirts. No sleeveless tops. No open toe shoes. Slacks are nice just not so tight they fit like a second skin. Casual shirts and sweathers. For the cooler weather have a couple of blazers. Shoes should look professional, but remember how many hours your going to be wearing them. It's hard to do your best when your feet are killing you.

Read your employment handbook for your company's specific guidelines. General guidelines are wear low cut tops, tops without sleeves, shorts/skirts which are more than three inches above the knee, no clothing with provocative sayings, and no clothes which show skin (stomach, back, rear-end) when bending over.

My general guideline is if I wouldn't wear it to church I wouldn't wear it to work. As a boss, I didn't approve of cleavage showing, skirts so short that bottoms showed when the woman bent over, and pants so tight you could read the washing instructions from the outside.

Use common sense. Look in magazines. How hard is that?
