I got into Registered Nursing and know it's a wonderful job. I have done everything from Extended Care to Hospice to OB/GYN to Psychiatric. I'm at a point now that I just want to GO HOME. I need to keep my insurance. And my salary is good too. Any burnt-out nurses out there with advice?

Don't waste all the time you have given to your profession. You just need a break. Maybe private nursing or Doctor's office. Go back to school to be a nurse practitioner or assisted living with your skills the list is endless. Good Luck!!!!

1. change to something thats more pleasant,Like a nurse at an orthopaedic center.a place where you dont deal with death as much or with changing old peoples diapers.
2. TAKE A VACATION TO A TROPICAL PLACE(cancun,ibiza,hawaii,etc..).
3.Get some great sex going.

PS.get a hobby and always go out on weekends(dancing,vegas,movies,etc..).life cant be all work and then just sit at home.

There is a shortage of teachers at nursing schools. Have you thought of that option?
