Me and my mom are two different users on the same computer. However there are a bunch of video files on "my side" of the computer and i want to somehow send or share those files with my mother's side. Does it make sense? In other words, I want to share files between two users of the same computer

Double-click on "My Computer".
Pick one of your hard drives, some people only have one called "C", other people have extra ones. (In the right-hane side, you can see how much space is available on each - if it is measured in GB it means plenty of space, down to 100's of MB means it is almost full.)
When you have double-clicked on the hard drive you want, click on
File
New
Folder
and type in a name for it

This folder is simply on the hard drive instead of being tucked away in just one person's profile, so you can share it.

Yes, it makes sense and you can do it.

You can do it without making a folder or moving anything (although that's a good option to use in the future to make things easier). For now, just go into your C: drive by double-clicking My Computer.

1) Double-click the C: drive
2) Double-click the "Documents and Settings" folder
3) You should see several folders, two of them will have each of your names on them. Double-click on your mom's.
4) You will see all of her subfolders that look a lot like yours. Most of the files she saves from programs will be in there.

She can just follow the same steps clicking on your folder instead of hers in step 3.

Now the other guy's suggestion of having you create a new folder directly under the C: drive would be easier to find in the long run.

Yes as long as the files you wish to share are not in your area for example "Jeff's documents" they will be shared because your on one P.C different users still access the same had drive but only you can access your log in folders. So place the folder of the files you wish to share on the desktop or in program files any were except yours or her area.

If you are using windows XP, when you open the folder, on the left hand pane of the screen you will see an "share this folder"option.
There is a shared document folder, on your computer when you click on my computer icon. it has shared audio, and shared video folder. You can drag and drop those files that you want to share, into these folders.

On the left side of the window when you open a folder - there is an option to "SHARE THIS FOLDER" click on that. The files then go to "SHARED FOLDERS" and both users have access to that folder.

Drag and drop. You both share the same hard drive, so it should be no problem.
