Try this, when your mind is racing, realize it and say Im not thinking of that and make your mind go blank, or think of some pretty place, a rose garden for example, make it like a dream with floating petals in the air and butterflys and lovely scents, now relax those muscles in your body, anywhere you are holding tension, when your mind wanders again, go back to your special place and relax, try playing a meditation cd at bed time and maybe a glass of warm milk.

There is nothing wrong with you, you sound like a normal 14 year old.
Consider monitoring your diet to eliminate any food or drink that could keep you up at night. Also, be sure to get plenty of exercise early in the day, don't exercise after dinner. Try reading a story to mom and or dad or sibling to help unwind.

Does your mind move from thought to thought very quickly?-while you are in bed. (does it race?). If your mind does race, do you toss and turn as you move from one different thought to another? Do you feel energized even though you are sleepy? Does it feel like you can't stop thinking?- even if what you are thinking about is unimportant. If so, it may be anxiety. Anxiety does not necessarily have to make you feel bad, you could even have a good feeling of anxiousness about things. A lot of the time though, anxiety involves negative feelings, or a mixture of both.

It sounds like you are stressed out. You need to talk to someone about how you feel. The obvious choice is your doctor, but you may feel you can't, so why not talk to an organisation over the phone, such as Childline: 08001111.

The most important thing is....Talk to Someone.....Anyone.

Your problem isn't that uncommon, but it is definitely affecting your quality of life. It may not be serious; however, you should have this checked out by a doctor. He/she could help you more than Yahoo Answers & could prescribe medication, if needed. But 1st, you should ask about drug-free alternatives.

You must have a crush that bothers you, and that someone knows it. Make peace with your parents and ask for their guidance, specially on sex subjects. But best of all, say a little prayer before going to sleep.
