I'm talking about the Chinatowns in the US.

Those Chinatown restaurants are not exactly making a huge profit. Probably the people who work there make far less than minimum wage (as a family-run restaurant anyway). So they probably don't have the luxury of investing a lot of time and money cleaning.

restaurants are clean. like i visit the chinatown in nyc every other week. the streets are filthy i have to admit. but the restaurants/stores and stuff are pretty clean. maybe your going to a bad stores and crap.

Dunno. Last time I went to any kind of Chinatown was in the mid-70's up in San Fransisco. Perhpas you should...nevermind...
