Why? So you can copy it and turn it in tomorrow for a grade? Don't think so.

No essay form from me, but there were no personal computers, cell phones, Ipods, Rock and Roll to include Metallica. Movie theaters and outside drive-ins were still strong as television had just came on the market in 1948.

Radio broadcasting was strong and our evenings were spent listening to the Grand Ole Opry, the Lone Ranger, Superman, the Green Hornet, Amos and Andy, and others.

Malt shoppes and ice cream parlors were still in vogue and gasoline was around 35 cents a gallon. Every family did not have a car and telephones were beginning to fill the households. Long distance calls were terribly high and we used alpha numerics for telephone numbers such as Walnut 1352.

Leather jackets and engineer boots were popular with the boys; oxford shoes and twirly skirts (for a better name) and pony tails for the girls. There were no such thing as tattoos on school kids except for those bad boys.

I could go on, but you now have something to go with for your essay. Write it up!

I tend to think that way only because out of all spiritual thought, it makes the most sense to me that we have to go through a number of incarnations until our souls reach the place we are supposed to be. It doesn't mean there isn't a god or creator or other supreme being. My only issue with reincarnation is that the people who claim to remember having lived before were never just some poor sludge who died of tuberculosis at 19, but Mary Magdalene, or Attila the Hun, or some other famous person. There are a lot of dead people no one ever heard of--who claims they were one of them in a past life?

When you see movies they make the 50's seem so peaceful and nice. However the 50's had some bad time such as the McCarthy trials where America=good and Communism (USSR)=bad. Also there was always that threat of nuclear war.
