It all depends on why you/I don't like the teacher. If it is lack of his teaching ability and it is so much so that I'd be wasting my time, then yes, I'll leave.
If it is for his/her discriminatory attitude, yes, I'd leave. (I have done it twice) Once, it was so blatant, I was only few steps away from filing a lawsuit.
If he/she can teach and he/she is fair, then I'd stay.
If the class was important and necessary, then I'd prefer learning from someone who can teach and fair, rather than just a likable person.

I don't like the word hate. If you dislike a teacher, best to ask yourself if your dislike is valid. If so and you need the class, just deal with it.
