The only thing I seriously disagree with the Republicans on (& it's a big catagory) is when they try to legistlate morality. Flag burning is wrong, but it shouldn't be illegal. Prostitution is disgusting & dehumanizing, but it should be the individuals choice. I respect a Christian's belief that homosexuality is wrong, but this country is not, & must never be, a theocracy.
But its much easier to strike down a bad law than to abolish a bad bureaucratic program. So I am more passionate about keeping the democrats from starting new government programs in an attempt to cure all societies ills. Many times, new bureaucracies just further muddy the waters. I have someone very close to me who drug his feet in getting a job because he knew he'd lose his food stamps.

Based on the performance of both parties, I find it is difficult to agree with either. We are living in the morning of the biggest party ever . Someone is going to have to pay for it. I wonder who that will be? Both democrats and republicans are guilty of stupidity. I will admit anyone can make a mistake. However when the same mistakes are made over and over something is terribly wrong.

It is impossible to agree with Republicans, they did not introduce or support Social Security, medicare, medicaid, FEMA, food stamps, Amtrak, Labor rights, pension rights, bankruptcy rights, equality between the sex's, races, greed's, ethnicity's, religions, and so on.
They claim to support Government but the only thing they like to waste money on is the military and then they start the wrong wars, for the wrong reasons, in the wrong places, at the wrong time and they just go on spending more money on war and war machinery than they worry about money that Democrats would spend helping Americans. Right!

Well I believe in less government and lower taxes and a strong defense. They call that conservatism and it used to be what the republicans stood for but I just don't know any more.

Neither, and having parties is not healthy for democracy. It polarizes people and makes them take silly points of view just to back "their party" instead of backing what is good for the country.
