Ive been pondering this for a while... The 4th hokage and naruto look almost exactly alike.. and it says in the show that naruto's parents died in the fight against the Kyuubi

I think the 4th is Naruto's father. They have the same blonde hair and blue eyes. Besides, I think that the Hokage wouldn't want to seal the kyuubi inside any of the villagers, so he sealed it into his son (just my guess).

hi :p me 2 but I'm not sure i think the 4th is Naruto's uncle or bro something like that b/c in the 1st episode I'm sure the ppl said "lets wait 4 the 4th 2 get here" something like that plus the timing doesn't match b/c I think naruto was born before the demon came so the 4th seal the fox demon in him so Naruto couldn't have the fox inside him b/f he was born?? I really want 2 know who is the MOM? lol I don't know maybe we'll never find out :(

no.i dont think so.
i read many 'news' about this.so i probably can say something about this to you.
many people said they may have some kind of relation.maybe in the same clan or what..but i read it from wikipedia,they said uzumaki (this name) is for them who dont have any clan,like orphan they used this surname.maybe he have a clan but all of the member died because of the kyuubi. <--this is what i heard...another version. -->that's why yondaime sealed the kyuubi inside his body. (coz naruto is the only survivor)Yondaime's wish was for Naruto to be remembered as a hero by the people of the village.unfortunately,things did not turn on that way...he grew up alone and isolated because of the people in this village treated him as nothing more than the demon fox that has attacked the village.
oh well,that's what i heard..hope this 'kinda' explain to you..

i think the 4th is the father because naruto look like him. They also have the same behavior. why would the he pick just any child to hold the fox?

Yeah, i think so... 1st, uzumaki arashi (unofficial name of yondaime) and naruto's appearance are almost identical. Their hair, eyes, are so the same.... 2nd, their attitude is identical as well. Just like what jiraiya said at episode 88, he can see the fourth through naruto...

i do..they look like father and son..and besides,when itachi goes to konoha in order to find naruto,he says that he wants to find the 4th hokage's heir..and i read in some forums,they said that the 4th hokage's name is uzumaki arashi..

4th hokage hmm i thought that was the old geezer o well but he young sorry.. i dont know even if he was narutos father wouldnt naruto get mad if he did know his father was the 4th hokage wouldnt naruto go "I am 4TH HOKAGES Son worship me" like that but i guess he is his flesh and blood

Actually, I read somewhere that the fourth had a twin brother who was Naruto's father. I could be wrong though.

I think so since they both have the same color of hair and he seal the demon fox in naruto to protect him!
