No, Someone did it from your bios. If you forget or don't know that password you have to remove the black jumper on your motherboard. Restart the system and turn off. Put the jumper back and restart. It will never ask the password again.

The password request that is posted prior to anything else is the hardware password and that is set in the F2 BIOS/CMOS setup. If u do not know what it is U can call DELL and ask for assistance in resetting that. It will require resetting the CMOS values....They would be the best to explain just what ALL settings u will need to obtain prior to performing this reset of the BIOS .... generally they will also ask u to remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard boot and the reset the battery and reboot again etc...

If you did not change the password the first time you logged into the system try pressing the Enter key.

On the other had if you did change the Administrator password the first time you logged into the computer you will have to use it.

If you do not remember what it is, you may have to do a complete reinstall of the operating system.

Never take anything for granted!!!

Have fun but be safe.

If you mean a CMOS password before the system boots you have to open up your computer and look for a black jumper on the motherboard. You remove that jumper and turn on the computer. Then you turn it back off and put the jumper back and it should clear the password.

Are you talking about a BIOS password? If you are in order to get rid of that password other than knowing it, you have to clear your bios. To do this you have to clear the bios by setting jumpers on the motherboard or by removing the circular battery on the motherboard.

If it is not the BIOS password you are talking but the admin password for windows itself try booting into safe mode by hitting f8 on startup.

You need to find out who makes your motherboard.
